Day 122 marks one-third of the way through the year and completing my 100th parkrun meant that in the first third of the year I have run a total of 866.6 km (438.48 miles), taking 80h 21m and elevating by 7,723m. I was taking it easy running alongside returning London marathoners and was glad of my thick fleece panda onesie at the start. I still managed to come home in almost 25 minutes dead (there was a queue to get to the finish line), even though it was all feeling comfortable, which is good. Then it was cake, cake and more cake at the parkrun anniversary bring-and-eat prize giving.
I finished 189th out of 444 parkrunners, was 27th lady and 5th in my age category. Week 2 of the new year’s points table sees me 74th with 74 points in in my first points-scoring outing.
