There was an easy 5 miles scheduled for today on the marathon training plan, so I got to Ashton Court early to fit it 2 miles before parkrun. I think I can see how the Hanson approach works now. I felt knackered after the 2 miles and thought that there was no way I would get up the hill in the parkrun. I took it steady though and body parts started cooperating a bit more after the first km.
A 15-miler tomorrow (which I am breaking up by running to Ashton Court, around for a bit, and then home). Gulp.
I finished 67th out of 289 parkrunners, was 3rd lady and 1st in my age category. Tanya was away, so I gained a little in the points race but am currently still 7th.
