Week 1 of Exploring Philosophy, and after what seemed like a long introduction to the module it was straight into the basics of personal identity with John Locke. A lot of very interesting thought experiments, including Plutarch’s Ship of Theseus. A nice lot of new terminology to get the hang of, but after the third or fourth time through it was starting to make sense. I even did some of the optional further reading (and listening – lots of listening so far in this module).
