On to the next book of Exploring Philosophy and this one is titled ‘Knowledge’. First stop is Descartes with his malicious demon and ‘I think, therefore I am’. He’s quickly knocked down (as per usual), but allowed to stick around for questioning authority and suggesting that everyone has the capability to pursue knowledge (though we might all be brains in jars after all).
