Atrocious weather conditions today, but it was Geoff (our fearless leader)’s 50th parkrun today, so I couldn’t consider not attending. The wind was blowing hard and the rain and hail was likewise. At one point I was only seeing where I was going out of one eye. I managed to sneak under 25 minutes despite having to stop three times to retie my shoelaces (once they get wet they just won’t grip) and finished with them flapping around (they untied themselves twice more on the way back to the car). The headwind up the hill into driving rain was no fun at all.
I finished 62nd out of 174, was 14th lady and 4th in my age category.
Well done. You put me to shame 🙂
It’s all just practice.
It was great to see you Alice. And that was a great time in dreadful conditions. (PS not sure about ‘fearless’ – faced the hill with some trepidation today!)
