It had been a few weeks since I had tackled the Ashton Court hill, and with an over 12 mile run the day before it was never going to be the day for a pb. I made it around in under 26 minutes, which was good under the circumstances. Gromit did make it round considerably faster (though I did beat the kid who normally thrashes me). I tried out my new parkrun barcode tag from ERS, which worked a charm, much better than printouts from my dodgy printer.
It’s the kite festival next week, so the dreaded B course, but this week I was 91st out of 219, 15th lady and 3rd in my age group. That puts me at 892 points for the year, the leading woman is on 1,498 so I’m going to need some sort of Dick Dastardly tactics to make a dent in that.
