A beautiful sunny morning for the second outing of my 50-club t-shirt, but I almost didn’t make it on time as the cat also thought it would be a lovely morning to sit on me and purr. It’s a relatively rare occurrence so I took as much of it as I could get. As a result I only managed a banana before heading out and my legs were feeling kind of dead along the plateau. I got passed in the final km by Zoe, re-passed her briefly before conceding defeat, but it pushed me on to a sub 24 minute time which I didn’t feel that I had in me today. In fact it turned out to be a new Ashton Court pb.

I finished 66th out of 311 parkrunners, was 11th lady and 4th in my age category. Up to 7th in the points table (week 2). My GPS wants me to accept it as a new 5km pb, but it was only 4.98km so I’m sticking with 23:44 as my official 5km pb.
