It was pakrun’s 10th birthday today, so even though it was raining I made the trip over to Ashton Court to celebrate by running up the hill and back down again (hopefully without slipping as I have a 10k race tomorrow). A benefit to the rain was that I was wearing my rain jacket so couldn’t look at my Garmin after it had been started, so just ran to feel and was pleased with my time when I hadn’t been going full out and didn’t feel too bad at the end. I still went backwards in the second half though, being passed by three other ladies in the last 1km. Something to work on after I have recovered from the 10k and can get back into regular training.

I finished 86th out of 215 parkrunners, was 11th lady and 2nd in my age category. I’m now up to 2nd in the points table.
