An emotional parkrun today with a minute’s silence and words read out on behalf of Steve Worland’s family. Lots of people running with photos of him on their back. I wasn’t running a flat-out 5km as I have a 10km race tomorrow at Bridgwater, but made it round sub 25 minutes at about 75-80%. I had to dash off immediately afterwards to make it to an 11am philosophy tutorial.

I finished 104th out of 386 parkrunners, was 14th lady and 5th in my age category. I got passed pretty early on by Chrissie Wellington whose age category I will be joining shortly. I squeaked past Emma Withers into 3rd on the points table, but only by 9 points and will be running in Barnsley next week, so I’ll just be in 3rd for a week.
