Chipping Sodbury parkrun – 25th December 2014

My running resolutions for 2014 were to run sub 24 minutes for parkrun on a regular basis, get my 50 parkrun t-shirt and run 5km in under 23 minutes. I achieved the first two relatively easily but it was looking like I would never get under 23 minutes. Stepping away from the Ashton Court hill and donning a festive onesie seemed to do the trick though as I ran 5.17km in 22mins51secs. A Chrimble miracle. I wonder what I could manage when I come back on New Year’s Day and am unencumbered by fleece.

I finished 34th out of 130 parkrunners, was 2nd lady and 2nd in my age category. I also finished ahead of Tom from Relish Running, the course must have been too flat and insufficiently muddy for him 🙂
