I very nearly didn’t go to the track session tonight as I was feeling a bit tired after a tough long run on Sunday, a hard track session on Monday and yesterday’s race. But I had told Rosey I’d be there, so I went along. It turns out that she was also only there because I said I would be there, so one text message and we could have both had a night off.
They say that it’s the training sessions that you do when you don’t feel like it that are the best, and I wasn’t looking forward to 5 lots of 800m (with 200 recovery). The first one was a bit twingey, but everything loosened off after a bit and I was happy with my consistency. Each 800m was between around 03:14 and 03:20.
