I took the frustrations of the last couple of days out to the track tonight and hammered them in. Alas I wasn’t feeling fast (I think I have traced my tight calf back to my weak glute) and had been bumped up to the middle group. This meant I was doing 8x450m and for a while I was losing 2s every other rep, going 1:44, 1:44, 1:46, 1:46, 1:48, then a 1:46, 1:44, finishing 1:42. Hopefully it will do be some good, and I’m now looking into more glute strengthening exercises as the ones I had been doing obviously aren’t working.
