I felt a slight twinge in my iffy hamstring during the warm up in Body Pump, so took it easy in the leg tracks, but went with heavier weights in the chest, tricep, and bicep tracks. I thought I would take it easy on the run home so as not to risk it and made a mental note to stretch more. There had been complaints about the railway path not being gritted yesterday, but the council workers were out when I came through and in parts it was like running on a beach. What felt like taking it easy turned out to be my fastest run on that route of the week. Go figure.
After being accosted yesterday at the end of my run there was another reminder of safety whilst running alone in a news story of an attempted assault on a runner close to where I regularly run.
