I got up early so that I would have full choice of residential school locations and dates, picking the second week (so they will have worked out the kinks from the first week) at my closest location (Bath). The first week slot in Bath was fully booked within 18 minutes, so I was glad I had made the effort to get up early.
This week’s study followed on from attention the previous week with perception. Some familiar names (Gibson and Gregory) and some new names (Marr) with some bonus brain stuff (dorsal and ventral streams). The journal we were tasked with reading was to do with visual masking, which may come in handy when we have to select our experimental project (since I doubt we’re going to be let loose with an MRI scanner – shame).
