It was back to the research methods book this week and looking at correlational studies and experiments. A little bit of stats lingo, but nothing I hadn’t come across before, and some things to look out for in experimental design to guard against those darn confounding variables.
There was also a quick look at the SPSS program which will be used for data processing. Not one I’ve touched before, but it seems pretty straightforward to navigate around so we shall have to see how it goes when actual work is involved.
I use SPSS all day every day. Or sometimes on some days. Let me know of you need any help. It’s like Excel in some ways but completely different in other ways.
Cheers, it doesn’t look too bad to use, but we’ll see how that changes once I’ve actually got to use it rather than just look at it 🙂
