I woke early and the rain was bucketing down on the tent, but it was to be my 60th parkrun so I got myself up, got my passenger and off we went out to Fritton Lake. A small field, which wasn’t surprising given the weather which eased off a little for the start then came back with a vengeance half way round the first lap. I was very grateful to my lightweight running jacket and was just about managing without gloves. I got passed by the lead lady at the same place she passed me last week and after passing someone towards the end of the first lap ran the second lap on my own. I was very grateful for the dry socks, trousers and hoodie to change in to afterwards.
I finished 13th out of 47 parkrunners, was 2nd lady and 1st in my age category.
