The grading’s for the year and new salaries came out today. From a mid-year grading of “good” I’ve gone down to “areas for development” which is news to me and for the first time in my career I won’t be getting a payrise, not even one to keep up with inflation. A lovely recognition of my working over Easter and late to meet deadlines. Don’t expect that to happen again, or for me to attend tonight’s Xmas drinks. In fact, don’t expect me to do anything above and beyond ever again, and expect me to be resigning shortly.

 My “performance manager” didn’t even have the guts to mention it to me (and they’re supposed to say if your grading goes down). Screw the lot of them.
