I may finally lose it with the solicitors administering my grandmother’s estate. After threatening them with the Solicitors Regulation Authority it looked like we were making progress when a new solicitor was appointed. Unfortunately there have been more poorly excused delays (when you can get a reply to an e-mail requesting an update) and someone is lying. One solicitor at firm X (who was thrown off the case) stated that Y hadn’t been received, the other (who replaced them) said it had. Either one is so incompetent to not do a simple fact check before writing to beneficiaries, or one is lying.

The latest reason for the delay – the people holding the funds to pay the IHT won’t release them. WTF? Someone is paying tomorrow – I’m done with this shit.
