Fritton Lake parkrun – 17th May 2014

A travelling parkrun this week and even though I was on holiday it was on with the 50-club t-shirt and off in the car to the nearest parkrun. Near in this case was about 20 miles and 40 minutes to Fritton Lake near Great Yarmouth. A two lap course on gravel, grass and woodchip, with some gentle undulations taking in the sights (the lodges, the lake, the adventure park and the golf course). It all got a bit strung out and on the second lap I was taking directions from the runner behind me. I’ll have another go next week, but this time take a friend and take it slower, banking it as a t-shirt run.

I was 21st out of 69 parkrunners, 4th lady (I was 2nd at one point) and 1st in my age category.
