Week 8, day 3 – recovery run & yogalates

I’m not going to lie, I am still disappointed about my time yesterday, but I picked myself up and headed out for a gentle recovery run and the smiling faces of the people I passed helped lift my spirits. I also checked out the various pace equivalency charts and even with a 21 minute 5k I should still be on for sub 3:30 in the marathon, so I’m just going to try and forget about it and remind myself that I’m not training for a 5k pb, it’s all about endurance.

With that in mind I used the slightly harder of my resistance bands in my strength and conditioning, 30 minutes of yogalates, which worked on my core as well as a bit of leg work. Onwards and upwards!
